The short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser, and the numbers you type are never sent to us or stored on a server. There are no accounts. We use Google Analytics to measure overall traffic — it sets cookies and records general visit data, but it never sees the figures you enter. We don't use advertising cookies.
The numbers you enter
Every calculation on Moolage happens locally, in your own browser. Figures like a home price, salary, loan amount or savings balance are processed on your device and are never transmitted to us or saved in any database. There is no account to create and nothing for us to store, because the information never reaches our servers in the first place.
Share links
Each calculator has an optional "copy share link" button. If you use it, the values you entered are encoded into the link's web address so that whoever opens it sees the same result. This is the only situation in which your inputs travel anywhere, it happens solely because you chose to create and share that link, and the data lives in the link itself rather than on our systems.
Standard server information
Like virtually every website, Moolage is delivered by a hosting provider that keeps routine server logs — typically your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — for security, diagnostics and to keep the site running. We do not use this information to build a profile of you or to identify you personally.
Analytics and cookies
Moolage uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how many people visit and which calculators are useful — things like page views, approximate location (country or region), device and browser type, and how visitors arrive at the site. This helps us decide what to improve and what to build next. It does not tell us who you are, and it never receives the figures you type into a calculator, which stay in your browser.
Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this information on our behalf as our analytics provider. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser settings. If we ever change how we use analytics or introduce advertising, we will update this policy and the date above.
Links to other sites
Some pages may include clearly-labelled links to third parties, such as a rate comparison or an account provider. Those sites have their own privacy policies and are not covered by this one. We'd encourage you to read the policy of any site you visit from here.
If you email [email protected], we receive your message and email address so we can reply. We use it only for that purpose and don't add you to any marketing list.
Children
Moolage is a general-purpose set of tools intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Your questions and rights
Because we don't collect or hold personal information from the calculators, there is little for us to retrieve, correct or delete. If you have any question about privacy on Moolage, or a request relating to an email you've sent us, contact [email protected] and we'll help.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll post the updated version here and revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes — for example introducing analytics or ads — will be described plainly rather than buried.
